Your chance to own a fully-working early prototype that iterated on the original MRBP back with custom electronics and firmware. At a bargain price.
This is a bit of a Frankenstein back, from my earlier experimenting with the electronics to control these Polaroid backs with a microcontroller, keeping track of shots remaining, and battery life.
I have reprinted the body for this particular back using the latest MRBPz files provided by SPRKPLG, with improved light traps and other improvements. The electronics, however, are a generation or two earlier, running from a RP2040 with a N-Channel MOSFET to control the polaroid back's motor, as well as a voltage divider to measure battery life.
This version also runs my custom Firmware, recently updated to improve battery-life and memory usage.
I will include a user manual, but it's pretty simple:
- Insert a new film cartridge
- Switch on the back
- Long press the button until the counter resets
- Press the button once to eject the darkslide
- You're good to go!
Because this is a prototype, I am selling it as is. It is fully working and constructed to a high standard. If something does go wrong, I'm happy to assist you in repairing it if possible.
